POLAND & TURKEY MEETING (Yusuf, Marlena & Tuba)

On the 17th December, we had an online meeting with our students. It was a fantastic meeting with full of activities for our students. At the beginning of our meeting, we introduced ourselves as teachers.

The headmistress of Marlena's school -Szkoła Podstawowa nr 2 w Sianowie- also attended our meeting. We were glad to have a guest in our meeting,too.

After introduction of teachers, we asked our students about their dream job and had a short survey using mentimeter. Then, we watched videos and presentations about Turkey, Kayseri, Sianow and Poland, learnt about each other's location, favourite food, historical places, natural beauties, etc., and talked about these. 

When we finished introducing our cities and countries, we listened to our students one by one and they also introduced themselves to the partners. Then, we had an activity about weather and emotions/ to be-present/ giving short answers. Students both learnt and enjoyed thanks to this activity.

Furthermore, we altogether leanrt some common words in both languages, pronounced them in our languages and were surprised to have such similar words. For example, bomb,coffee,watermelon,yoghurt,giraffe and newspapaer are quite similar in Polish and Turkish. We are happy to learn some commnon words.

What's more, we had another quiz-like game activity on Quizizz web tool about about countries. One more time students noticed how much they knew about Poland and Turkey. It was fun,involving and interactive.

It was a very active meeting with full of activities for students. We had great time together. Thank for this interactive, enjoyable and fruitful meeting, dear partners and students:)
